Storage Beds – The Best Clutter Solution
What you need to know:
If you are one of those people who can’t get enough of storage spaces, you have to consider getting a storage bed. One of the biggest spaces that is available in your room is the one under your bed. Ironically, it also happens to be one of that is the most underused. So if you are planning to get a brand new bed for your bedroom, do consider getting a storage bed. The most common storage bed designs are those that contain drawers below the bed platform. Depending on the size and the height of the bed, some of these beds can contain up to eight drawers. There are some super-high beds that come with plenty of storage. These beds looks more like gigantic drawer chest with a mattress on top of it. Then we also have those that come with storage headboards. These designs are also less favorable because the often look like bookshelves. Your choice of storage bed should match the interior design of your room. One of my favorite bed designs is the South Shore Furniture eco-friendly platform bed. It has a very Zen look with the drawers neatly tucked away in a corner. There are also baby cots with storage compartments. Another very interesting storage bed model would be the Modus Furniture queen storage bed. The storage compartment is actually ‘hidden’, which is perfect for keeping personal items. If you don’t like to idea of getting new bed frames just for the storage, you can get yourself some storage compartments that is designed to fit neatly under your bed. For example, the Closet Complete under-the-bed organizer for shoes is great for storing your shoes neatly under your bed platform. They are made from natural canvas. You can also get some plastic storage containers that are designed to fit under the beds. There are many other under-the-bed storage products to choose from (such as fabric containers, baskets, etc). Just make sure you get your bed measurements right before you get one of these. If you currently have a platform bed with little or no space underneath, fret not. You can instantly create some storage space buy using bed risers. The usually cost below $15 and can immediately create lots of extra space below your bed.
